Wow! What a week!
On Monday, I attended a Space Coast Realtors RPAC lunch, where I appreciated the opportunity to speak to the group about our campaign.
Tuesday, I traveled to Jacksonville, where the Florida Chamber of Commerce was conducting interviews of candidates from around the state. The Chamber has long been a strong voice for Florida’s business community, and I enjoyed meeting with them as well as a reception they hosted later that evening. I learned a lot from the other leaders I connected with there.
The Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast gave a great presentation on Wednesday at the Brevard Zoo regarding new jobs in Brevard County over the last five years. It revealed that we are doing well with economic growth and job creation, but we must keep working hard to make sure this trend continues.
Yesterday, I attended the grand opening of the first Wawa in Brevard County – located at the corner of Pineda Causway and Wickham Road in Palm Shores. Later, I went to the monthly Republican Women’s Network of South Brevard meeting, which featured a debate between the candidates for County Commission Districts 3 and 5.
Last evening, I attended the Women of Excellence Awards sponsored by the Melbourne Chamber. It was a great evening filled with inspiring stories about some of the accomplished entrepreneurs in our area.
To wrap up the week, I am attending a tour of the Bridges of America program in Cocoa. This is a joint program with the Bridges of America and the Department of Corrections to assist non-violent offenders with job placement that will help get their lives back on track.
Thanks for all your support. Enjoy your weekend!
