This week began with the excellent news that support for our campaign continues to grow.
The Cocoa Beach Hotel and Lodging Association and the Florida Retail Federation have endorsed me. I am very honored to have the backing of both of these groups that do a great job supporting our business community, both locally and statewide.
Tuesday, the law firm Dean Mead held a legislative update where several legislators spoke on a panel about this year’s session and a preview of next year’s. It was great to see many of Brevard’s business leaders in attendance.
Wednesday was a busy day, starting off with the Associated Industries of Florida candidate interviews. I then checked in at the Florida Association of Insurance Agents (FAIA) convention, where I participated in a continuing education class. Later, I attended the Florida Agriculture Coalition candidate interviews, a great experience that helped me learn a lot of about agriculture. Agriculture is one of the most important sectors of our economy, and I look forward to touring some of the agriculture businesses we discussed.
Yesterday, I finished up my continuation classes and attended the annual insurance trade show, where I always learn a lot about trends in the industry. There was a lot of talk about the recent Florida Supreme Court ruling that will have a major impact on workers comp insurance rates going up.
I am looking forward to the fundraiser the FAIA is hosting this evening for my campaign.
I’ll wrap up the week back out on the trail, knocking on doors and getting our conservative campaign message out.
Thanks for your support. Have a great weekend!
