Today, the Brian Hodgers Campaign announced that he has contributed an additional $200,000 to his bid for the District 52 seat in the Florida House of Representatives. Combined with his December haul of $7,175 and what he has previously raised, that brings his total amount of contributions to $344,843.
“Our community is worth investing in, and I believe I’m the right person to provide the strong, conservative leadership we need in Tallahassee,” said Hodgers. “I know from starting and running several successful businesses the negative impact that government regulations can have, and I want to make sure that current and aspiring entrepreneurs continue to have the opportunity to create jobs and realize their dreams.”
Hodgers, who entered the race in March of last year, has led the field in fundraising since the end of his first reporting period.
He began his career as a small businessman, co-owning gas station convenience stores with his father. After selling that business, Hodgers entered the aircraft sales industry. He now owns and operates an insurance agency, which has expanded to three locations with ten employees. In addition to his insurance business, Brian is also a licensed Florida real estate broker with his own real estate company.
